State & Main Kitchener: An Inviting Dining Experience Awaits

I had the fish n chips... the fries were/are probably the best I’ve had anywhere! The fish however was dry n lacked flavour imo . But the service and atmosphere was 5 star

My boyfriend and I travelled 2 hours for an event in Kitchener tonight and decided to make reservations here for my birthday dinner. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, and the service was superb! Our server, De’Anthony went above and beyond, making sure we had everything we needed with the absolute best attitude and customer service; he deserves 5 stars himself! We will definitely be back for another date night in the future.

We had an excellent family dinner and felt very welcome. The place wasn’t very busy for a Friday evening so it kept it quieter and good with the kids. Our server was polite and present. The food was excellent. The children enjoyed their enchiladas. I had the New York strip and it was charred perfectly, potatoes and asparagus were very flavourful. We also had an order of the chicken club and fries with a GF bun and it was yummy and fries had excellent seasoning. Two desserts: one mud pie and one cheesecake to top it off.

We had a dine in lunch at State and Main Kitchener. Food tasted really good and the portion size was pretty decent. Staff are very helpful and attentive. Will definitely visit again! Please try the bang bang shrimp, it tasted great!

We stopped in at State & Main in Kitchener and were really happy with the overall experience. We ordered the Pretzel Bites, Baja Fish Tacos, The Main burger, and the Grilled Chicken Club. The Pretzel Bites were a great start—soft, warm, and perfectly salted, paired with a delicious beer cheese dip that had just the right amount of tang. The Baja Fish Tacos were fresh and flavorful, with crispy battered fish, creamy avocado, and a crunchy slaw. They came with fries, which were tasty and paired well with the garlic aioli, though the portion of fries was on the smaller side. The Main burger was a solid classic—two juicy patties, melty cheese, and a nice balance of toppings. The Grilled Chicken Club was another standout, especially with the addition of avocado and peppered bacon, which gave it a nice savory punch. Service was friendly and attentive throughout, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We’d definitely come back—especially for that aioli!

We have been long time regulars at this location and every single time we dine here our experience is nothing sort of amazing. The staff are FANTASTIC!!!! They always remember us and know our favourite table. They are beyond attentive, friendly, accommodating and just an all around amazing crew. The food is always above expectation despite the modifications that we make. We make a point to come here as often as we can despite living further away and always turn to it as our go to for family/friend gatherings, birthdays or date nights. Everyone loves it and always has great reviews afterwards!! Excellent job as always, thanks for being so awesome

Enjoyed a delicious meal here. Had the half off wings for the Wednesday deal which were superb, and the tuna poke bowl which was also fantastic! Our server Ollie was attentive, friendly, and fun. They provided excellent service throughout our meal and gave great suggestions for drinks and food. A wonderful experience overall!
